Navarre is strategically located in the North-east of Spain, the most industrialised area of the Iberian Peninsula. The Community enjoys some excellent communications with both the domestic and foreign markets, with 143 kilometres of border providing access to France and, therefore, to Central Europe.

The four border crossings into France allow for fluid traffic with the rest of the Community countries.

To the South, the Ebro valley has become the traditional route to the Mediterranean, with motorway and rail connections to the ports of Barcelona, Tarragona and Valencia. To the West, there are communications to the Atlantic ports and the highly industrialised Basque Country. The closest seaports are Pasajes and Bilbao.

In addition to the motorways, railways   (www.renfe.es) and easy access to the nearby ports, Navarre is also served by Pamplona Airport with daily regular flights to Madrid and Barcelona, as well as special business and tourist flights to other points of Spain and Europe. (www.iberia.com)

At Bilbao airport, just 150 kilometres away, there are flights from   Volare (www.volareweb.com), Easyjet (www.easyjet.com) and Hapag-Lloyd (www.hlx.com) amongst others.
