A collection
of religious art held at the Royal Collegiate of St María, with
the most important exhibits being carvings, canvases, coins,
handwritten and printed antique books, in addition to silverware.
Of particular note is the Romanesque silver gospel lectionary, a
gold and silver casket and a 12th century Gothic-Mudejar
filigree, the reliquary known as Charlemagne’s chessboard (mid
14th century) with a Montpellier punch and the
Miramamolín emerald (a trophy won by Sancho the Strong at the
battle of Navas de Tolosa). Amongst the paintings, of particular
interest is the Triptych of the Calvary and the Sacred Family with
San Juan, by Luis de Morales.

times: From 15th October to Easter, from 10.30 to 13.30
h and from 16 to 18 h. Easter, April, May, June, September and up
to 14th October, from 10 to 14 h and from 16 to 19 h.
July and August, from 10 to 14 h and from 16 to 20 h. Closed: 25th
December, 1st and 6th January.
