Fortified enclave of Rada
Km. 3 on the Caparroso-Mélida road

Rada
is a medieval fortified enclave that played an important strategic
role in the defence of the Kingdom of Navarre, until it was razed
to the ground in 1455. As well as providing archaeological
material, the excavations conducted have also furnished
information on the urban layout of the site. Some street sections
have been revealed, plus fifty houses, a great underwater
reservoir and the necropolis or cemetery. All this can be viewed
by walking around the enclave.
