Fortified enclave of Rada
Km. 3 on the Caparroso-Mélida road
31391 Murillo el Cuende

Rada is a medieval fortified enclave that played an important strategic role in the defence of the Kingdom of Navarre, until it was razed to the ground in 1455. As well as providing archaeological material, the excavations conducted have also furnished information on the urban layout of the site. Some street sections have been revealed, plus fifty houses, a great underwater reservoir and the necropolis or cemetery. All this can be viewed by walking around the enclave.

Opening times: from April to September, from 10 to 13.30 h and from 17 to 20 h. From October to March, from 10 to 13.30 h and from 15 to 18 h. Sundays and bank holidays: from 10 to 14 h. Closed on Mondays.
